SmartSteps Micro-loans – Offer lending opportunities for Leon County up to $50,000 for small businesses that are minority and/or women-owned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

Loans are available from $5,000 up to $50,000 to qualified borrower with

• Demonstrated positive income, revenue, or cash flow
• Credit score that meets SmartSteps program eligibility criteria
• Comprehensive business plan including financial projections

To be considered for the Smart Steps Micro Loan Program, your business must be:

• 51% minority or woman owned business
• Domiciled in the state of Florida, Leon County
• United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Residence
• For profit business, sole proprietorship. No non-profits.
• Must demonstrate that loans will aid in the generation of jobs
• Must use funds for working capital, inventory, equipment
• Collateral will be required in most cases. Applicant(s) will be the guarantor(s)
